Graduate Scholars

The CHC is happy to introduce our 2023-2024 Graduate Scholars – Bryant Jackson-Green and Megan Cole!  They will hold office hours in the CHC Office and will advise students who are embarking on undergraduate research about the research process, finding a faculty advisor, and how doing research can help you reach your goals.  Contact the CHC Graduate Scholars at chcresearch@uci.edu with questions about the CHC research/thesis requirement.

Bryant Jackson-Green (he/him)

Hi Everyone – I’m excited to join the Campuswide Honors Collegium and work with all of you! My name is Bryant and I’m a fourth-year graduate student in the Social Ecology PhD program and JD Candidate at the law school. I study policy-making in criminal justice organizations. Since coming to UCI, I’ve enjoyed getting to work with students engaged in the research process as a teaching assistant and as a course instructor. I have a Certificate in Mentoring Excellence and have been a Pedagogical Fellow with the Division of Teaching Excellence and Innovation (DTEI). When I’m not working I enjoy checking out bookstores, traveling, and visiting every coffee shop I can in Southern California.

Megan Cole (she/her)

Hi everyone! My name is Megan Cole, and I am so excited to be part of the Campuswide Honors Colloquium community this year. I am a fifth-year English PhD candidate researching representations of fossil fuels and environmental degradation in nineteenth- and twentieth-century U.S. literature. I am also a CHC alum, and graduated from UCI with degrees in English and literary journalism. When I’m not on campus, I’m usually watching movies, going to concerts, exploring local museums, or spending time with my family (including my three-year-old dachshund, Gus).
