Campuswide Honors Alumni Updates – Summer 2021

Cameron Bader (‘13) recently completed a PhD in Immunology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine after defending their dissertation entitled “The Contribution of the Innate Immune Sensor STING in GVHD and GVL Following Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation”. Cameron has now begun postdoctoral training at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

Alexander Ball (‘12) has graduated from residency at Stanford and is starting work as a primary care pediatrician for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) in Palo Alto, CA.

Michelle Caunca (‘13) graduated from the MD/PhD Program in Epidemiology at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in May 2021. Michelle recently matched at UCSF for Neurology residency.

In January 2021, Chris Chen (‘16) began working at California’s Department of Housing and Community Development.

Kier Groulx (‘14) received a Psychology of Cognitive Sciences doctorate degree from UCI in 2017. Afterwards, Kier worked in the gaming industry at both Blizzard Entertainment (World of Warcraft, Overwatch, etc) and Niantic Labs (Pokemon GO). Kier has also gotten married, picked up hiking, and currently lives just outside Seattle, WA.

Antoinette Hu (‘15) graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 2019 and is currently a second year general surgery resident at Penn State University, starting an MBA degree during their 2-year research sabbatical.

Kaitlin Robinson (‘17) recently graduated from Chapman Dale E. Fowler School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree, emphasis in Advocacy & Dispute Resolution. Kaitlin plans to take the California Bar Exam this month.

In 2019 Anastasia Shuba (‘14) completed a PhD in Computer Engineering at UCI and is currently working at Broadcom as a software developer.

In May of 2021, Royal Si (‘17) graduated with a PharmD from the USC School of Pharmacy.
