Admission Options for Current UCI Students
Campuswide Honors is a highly selective academic program. Most students who are admitted to Honors have GPAs higher than the minimum of 3.5 required for consideration. In addition, we are looking for a demonstrated passion for learning, a willingness to explore and take risks, and academic excellence in a broad range of disciplines, not just in the area of one’s major. All applicants must have also completed the UC Entry Level Writing Requirement. We recommend that you apply after you have completed at least one quarter of Humanities Core or Writing 50 and 60 for a letter grade.
For Continuing UCI students who entered UCI from High School there are two pathways to becoming a part of the CHC (this includes students who were in a dual-enrollment program with a community college while enrolled in high school, high school students who completed their IGETC while enrolled in high school, and high school students with significant AP/IB credit).
Option #1: Apply during Winter Quarter of your First Year at UCI
Application window opens after Fall Quarter grades are released and closes Friday of Week 2 of Winter Quarter (5:00pm PST). This is your first chance to apply to CHC, if not initially invited to join in your admissions portal.
OR
Option #2: Apply during Winter Quarter of your Second Year at UCI
Application window opens after Fall Quarter grades are released and closes Friday of Week 2 of Winter Quarter (5:00pm PST). This particular application window is your final chance to apply to the CHC.
UCI GPA of 3.5 or better & Satisfaction UC Entry Level Writing required to apply. Students may only apply to CHC once. Apply as soon as you are eligible in order to get connected with CHCommunity and access other benefits as soon as possible during your UCI experience!

Application Information
Application Window Information: Applications for current UCI students who entered UCI from High School will only be open for submission during the open application windows. These applications open annually between when Fall Quarter grades are released (view the UCI quarterly academic calendar for the exact date during each respective year) and Friday of Week 2 of Winter Quarter (view the UCI quarterly academic calendar for the exact date during each respective year). Applications will not be accessible to be opened outside of these windows. Current UCI students who entered UCI from high school are not eligible to apply outside of these two windows and can only apply to CHC once.
