Richard was named a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) in September 2024 in recognition of his contributions to the larger chemistry community.

Quynh Theresa Do (2022)

Alumna Quynh Theresa Do holding an Quynh attended and volunteered at her first UCI alumni event and she is excited to remain connected with the UCI alumni community.  Under the Neurocognitive Aging and Analytics Research Education (NAARE) program at California State University, Fullerton, where she is currently working at as the Program Coordinator, she took a group of students to the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science NDiSTEM 2024 conference. Prior to the conference, she worked hard to prepare her students for their poster presentations in fields of public health, biology, psychology, statistics, and more. It was an amazing experience for her students as many of them come from underrepresented backgrounds. The NAARE program hopes to inspire students to continue their endeavors in higher education, specifically in aging research.

 

 

Patrick Nutter (2015)

Patrick and his fiance holding each other and smiling on a bridge overlooking Chicago.Patrick received a surprise proposal from his now fiancé, Levi Palmer.  Levi is getting his PhD in Chemistry at Caltech and was completing research at Argonne National Laboratory near Chicago over the course of the fall.  When Patrick visited one weekend before their four-year anniversary, Levi told Patrick that they were getting pictures taken for a Christmas card, but he sneakily had other plans.  He asked Patrick to marry him on November 2, 2024, and Patrick said, “of course!”  Now that Levi is back in Pasadena, the two are excited to tie the knot in summer 2026!

Ethan Flaker (2022)

Ethan is now working as a data engineer for Apple and is a game developer

Belle Flanegan (2024)

Belle has moved to New York City to earn her masters in Arts Management from The New School and work part time at a Broadway and Off-Broadway theatre company, 2nd Stage. She was also just accepted as an Engagement Intern at American Ballet Theatre for next semester. She lives with her partner and her very good friend who are both also UCI alums.

Dianna Hidalgo (2020)

Dianna is a graduate student in the program in Neuroscience at Harvard University. She is currently a 4th year PhD candidate.

Arlene Ho (2015)

Arlene had a baby while in residency at the Loma Linda University Health Consortium!

Lance Lee (2019)

Lance just passed his one year anniversary as a practicing attorney after graduating from UCI Law in May 2023 and passing the bar exam in November 2023. He is working at PDS Health as a Compliance Attorney, focusing his efforts on healthcare regulatory compliance and advisement with a sub-focus on Privacy Law, focusing on HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, and other state privacy laws.

Jessica Mangold (2021)

Jessica finished law school in May 2024, passed the California bar exam, and was sworn in as an attorney on December 5, 2024! She shares that she now has her dream job as a legal aid attorney who specializes in working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

Theresa was featured by the School of Humanities for her work as UCI Composition Program Manager.

Adrian Perez (2020)

Adrian pictured in front of one his murals Adrian has been developing his professional career in several industries as a data analyst and as an artist. In his hometown of Pacoima, his art, including paintings, calligraphy, graffiti, and murals, has been showcased and celebrated. He has also been exploring local music scenes and embracing his Chicano identity. He currently serves on the Pacoima neighborhood council.
